Presidential election campaign news continues to be a major factor influencing both capital spending decisions in the economy and commodity markets in general. Stocks, Peso and Oil markets in particular are being boosted by the status quo stability weighting of a Clinton victory. This is not an endorsement, merely a market reaction to the declining risk of the unknown as Trump falters in the polls. OPEC has also put a temporary floor under Oil prices, virtually guaranteeing the mid $40’s will not be broken before December.
KDelta Futures model was unable to execute good signals last week in Naturals Gas, Unleaded Gas, Gold and Silver. Hillary’s mention of wanting increased reliance on Nat Gas during her last debate also boosted prices there and may be supportive for 2017.
